Michael Vertolli, President and Chief Executive Officer
As President and CEO, Mike Vertolli provides strategic vision and direction for the ComTec Systems family of companies. He continues to implement his vision and leadership towards the growth and development of the company.
Mike joined ComTec in 1989 as a member of the technical engineering team. Five years later in 1994, he purchased a controlling interest in the company and assumed overall control of operations. Mike helped the company develop from a two-person consulting firm into one of Inc. Magazine’s fastest growing privately-owned technology firms in the United States. Two underlying philosophies help promote the companies he serves – that the efficient exchange of information between employees, partners, and clients are the lifeline of any competitive organization; and that each member of his team will strive for excellence and even when they fall short, they will still be exceptional.
Mike was recognized as one of New Jersey’s top CEO’s under the age of forty and has been named by New Jersey Biz magazine as one of the top finalists for New Jersey Executive of the Year award for three consecutive years, and most recently was named Executive of the Year. Mike was recognized by SmartCEO magazine as Philadelphia’s top Smart100 and was nominated in 2013 for the SmartCEO Circle of Excellence Award.
In addition to his roles in the ComTec family of businesses, he is the President and Co-founder of a consulting and investment firm, CTI Solutions and the Co-founder and Partner of Capital Enterprise of NJ, a real estate investment firm.
Mike is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fishing and hunting with his family and friends. He has an amazing wife Erin and two wonderful children Gage and Paislee. He is an active foundation board member for the Legacy Treatment Services https://www.legacytreatment.org, sits on multiple industry advisory boards as well as an active member in his community.
Michael Dalia, President, ComTec Consulting
As the president of ComTec Consulting, and a member of the executive team, Michael has an active role in directing the company’s strategic planning, product development, and distribution with a focus on corporate growth. Since joining ComTec in 2006, Michael has positioned the consulting division and its cost reduction products to successfully serve a wide range of industries spanning from small businesses to Fortune 20 companies. Michael brings more than 25 years of experience and leadership as an executive in the telecommunications and utility industries.
Prior to joining ComTec, Michael co-founded several companies including ABTS Corp., a leading provider of telecommunication equipment, ABTS Investment Corp., an equipment finance company, and Intelnet Services, N.A., a domestic and international telecommunications carrier. In 1998 the companies were merged together to form Intelnet International and expanded into 36 states, Puerto Rico, and Europe to deliver telecom, data, and utility services to its customers.
William M. Taylor, Vice President of Operations
Will Taylor, ComTec’s Vice President of Operations, brings over 20 years of IT/Telecommunications operations experience, including product development, network operations, provisioning, sales engineering, and sales support to our team. Will will drive profitability across all aspects of the company. He is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the overall daily operational and technical operations of ComTec, including budgets, standards, procedures, progress reports, and operational team staffing.
Will Taylor, ComTec’s Vice President of Operations, brings over 20 years of IT/Telecommunications operations experience, including product development, network operations, provisioning, sales engineering, and sales support to our team. Most recently, Will served as Lead Sales Engineer for Century Link Communications in Philadelphia, PA, where he was responsible for the design and implementation of all network (voice/data) services, cloud services, colocation, and next generation unified communication services for fortune 100/500 Global Accounts. Before that endeavor, he functioned in similar telecommunication executive roles in the Philadelphia region including Digital Speed Comm. Inc., ATX Communications, and Comcast Business Communications.
Will’s technical expertise includes VoIP, IP Routing and Switching, colocation, and various transport engineering technologies. He also specializes in business process with experience with several operational support systems.
Will received his Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. His professional development/certifications include Acme Packet SIP/VoIP Training, Alcatel Lucent Optical Certified, Marconi Data Products, Nortel Passport Certified, Alcatel ATM Switches, Diversity in the Workplace, and Management & Leadership.
Donald Hand, Director of Network Engineering
As Director of Network Engineering, Donald is responsible for the overall management of day-to-day IT initiatives and long term goals. He is also responsible for the design and consulting for customer projects. He ensures product quality and offers technical and engineering guidance for ComTec.
Most recently, Donald served as Senior Systems Engineer at Ancero LLC in Mount Laurel, NJ where he was responsible for the design and integration of customer networks as well as providing enterprise-level customer services.
Donald is an accomplished, professional Senior Systems/Network Engineer with over 25 years of experience. His technical expertise includes:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) with Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications
- TCP/IP Router / switching equipment design, configuration, and security analysis
- Penetration testing analysis and mitigation
- Firewall analysis and conversions– Cisco ASA/Pix, Sonicwall, Checkpoint, Fortigate
- Information Systems Security Professional (INFOSEC)
- Dell Force10 Switches & Equalogic SANs
Donald received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems and Sciences from Stockton College in Pomona, NJ. He also has an Associate in Science Degree in Business from Atlantic Community College in Mays Landing, NJ.
Frank Allison, Controller,
As Controller, Frank Allison is responsible for maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing and managing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems for ComTec. In addition, he manages the company’s budget and maintains human resources. Frank brings nearly 25 years of Executive Leadership, Accounting, and Financial Analysis experience to the ComTec Family.
Prior to joining the ComTec Team, he worked as the Controller for NEST International. His main responsibilities were overseeing Finance, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Legal, and Risk Management.
Frank has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Glassboro State College, 1994
