Job Description

As a Business Operations Specialist, you will help the ComTec team by bring direct support to IT and Vendor Management, Procurement, Warehouse/Shipping, Conversions, and Project Intake Process.  Your role is critical in establishing that the data needed to run the company is correct and easily accessible, and that all processes and procedures are being followed and are in line with what the company needs to efficiently operate.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tools and processes aimed at maintaining data quality and ensuring smooth transitions between ComTec’s divisions.
  • The ComTec Customer Experience is the foundational process by which ComTec ensures our Customers Success. You will be part of a team that performs different tasks critical to that effort.  This includes but is not limited to:
    • Converting proposals into projects and agreements, which ensures a successful transition from Sale to Project Management.
    • Procurement of the technologies used in customer solutions, which ensures our field solutions engineers are poised for success.
    • Prepare financial data, which ensures our customers have transparent and accurate billing.
    • Prepare partner financial data, which ensures transparent and accurate partner statements.
    • Work alongside project teams to document solution details ensuring Customer Support has the information they need to deliver ongoing value to our customers.
    • Make sure all steps of the Customer Experience have been completed.
  • Control and enforce all of ComTec’ s standard operation policies and procedures, while also identifying areas of weakness or inefficiencies and assist Operations team in developing new or correcting existing policies and procedures.

    • Understand the systems needed to keep ComTec run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Understand ComTec Cloud’s Products and Services so you can articulate the value proposition.
    • Understand ComTec’ s Customer Experience Roadmap so you can articulate the value proposition.
  • 60 Day Targets:
    • Learn ComTec’ s Mission and Core Values and be able to articulate them to friends and family.
    • Demonstrate the ability to identify and correct exceptions.
    • Begin to process operational tasks surrounding the Customer Experience process.
  • 90 Day Targets:
    • Consistently able to perform a minimum of 2 of the Customer Experience operational tasks.
    • Consistently communicate effectively with team members, partners, and customers.
    • Demonstrates a knowledge of ComTec’ s policies and procedures and beginning to identify possible areas of improvement.
  • 120 Day Targets:
    • Consistently complete all operational tasks within the Customer Experience.
    • Demonstrate a working understanding of all ComTec’ s policies and procedures.
    • Consistently able to pull exception reports and identify and correct errors for systems throughout the company.

Competencies

  • Quick to understand systems and how they operate in unison.
  • Knowledge of general business process and can apply to ComTec.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors and correct.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education/Experience

  • While we value a college or vocational degree or certification, we do not have a specific educational requirement.
  • Experience in any real-world business environment will be beneficial to the candidate.
