Vineland, NJ  August 3rd, 2020 — ComTec Cloud, a division of ComTec Systems, Inc. has acquired the Southern Region client base of Affiniti Telecom, an Austin, Texas based telecom provider.

ComTec has been in acquisition mode since early 2019 as part of an aggressive growth strategy.  This strategy is focused on two key elements: expansion of ComTec’s national reach and finding clients that fit the profile of being under 500 employees in both the public and private sectors.  By sourcing these mid-sized organizations, ComTec has seen high rates of layering in additional products and services such as Managed WAN, Contact Center, and Unified Communications.  When Affiniti Telecom showed interest in selling their Southern Region client base, it was clear there was a good fit.

“The team at ComTec made it easy for us and we knew it was going to be a great fit for our clients” said Tim Miller of Affiniti.

ComTec Cloud is one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the US and is a 6-time recipient of the Inc 5000 award for Fastest Growing Companies.  ComTec achieved 35% growth over 2019 which was in no small part attributed to acquisitions and customer referrals.  “Acquisitions are one of the hardest deals to pull off,” said Will Taylor, ComTec’s VP of Operations. “You have to find common ground among business partners but more importantly instill in the clients the understanding that the transition is a great thing for them.”

With any acquisition a big challenge is on-boarding clients seamlessly into a new infrastructure and new team.  To ease the transition, ComTec assigned dedicated Account Mangers, Client Care, and Project Managers to each client.  These resources communicated consistently, addressed risks and concerns promptly, and provided the high-touch experience ComTec is known for. Additionally, ComTec was able to replicate the exact environment of each account, eliminating any potential disruptions to business.  “This is how it’s supposed to be done. Proper planning backed with execution,” Taylor concluded.

This acquisition expanded ComTec’s client base into Oklahoma, Alabama and parts in-between.  After a lot of hard work and planning ComTec has 100% of the acquired base onboard.  Armed with a refined process and best practices, ComTec is excited to duplicate this effort with several acquisitions in the works today.

“As we keep expanding our presence nationally it is a natural fit to saturate each market, improve our local presence, and maximize our ability to be face to face with our clients.  We know our model is great and we are demonstrating every day that a national service provider can expand with white glove service, one on one business relationships, and excellent products while remaining competitively priced,” said Mike Vertolli, President of ComTec Systems.
