ComTec recognized by Inc. for outstanding contribution to their community in 2020

Vineland, NJ — ComTec Cloud, a division of ComTec Systems, Inc. has been named to the #Inc5000 Best in Business list for 2020.  The list, which can also be found in the Winter issue of Inc. Magazine, recognizes privately held American businesses that have had a superlative impact on their communities, their industries, the environment, or society in 2020.

Considering how difficult a year 2020 was on the economy and workers across the US, Inc.’s editors were looking to showcase companies that turned that difficulty around and made real positive impacts on their communities.  Instead of relying on quantitative criteria linked to sales or funding, Inc.’s editors reviewed the companies’ achievements over the past year and noted how they made a positive difference in the world. The applicant pool was very competitive, with around 2,700 entries and an acceptance rate in the low single digits.

ComTec’s CEO, Mike Vertolli, provided Inc.’s editors with examples of how ComTec has positively impacted our community and our workplace in 2020.  “As a B2B service provider, we were in a position to really help our clients that were impacted the hardest by the pandemic.  We proactively reached out to clients to restructure payments and debt to allow them to operate with reduced income.”

ComTec also provided next-day voice services to clients and prospects, free of charge, that needed to quickly adjust to a distributed workforce requirement.  ComTec also made the highest level of contributions to non-profits (Such as Ranch Hope) focusing on troubled youths and financially impacted families, helping them continue to do great work in their communities.

Inc. was also curious about whether ComTec made changes to help out employees.  CEO Mike Vertolli addressed the struggles of employees and also realized the opportunity to be a model to ComTec’s clients for addressing these struggles.

“We recognized the world was changing and there were new burdens and stresses impacting everyone’s lives so we revamped processes and re-aligned job functions to allow for flexible work hours and a more distributed workforce, allowing our employees to focus on their health and families”, said Vertolli.

Vertolli continued, “We used our own experiences and those of our clients to build offerings and best practices that could serve the greater good of keeping as many businesses alive as possible.”
